listen man.....if
you could only see the progression of this message board over the
last year you would be amazed...j-staff (you don't often see him
in here) started this site over two years ago for the
"fun" of it....in the beginning it was just us....and
all was well...we started playing around with the idea of trying
to learn how to predict surf because it is what we love to do.it
is what helps me thru some of the tough spots in life....the peace
and solitude are refreshing and bring clarity to a world filled
with meanness and hate....so we tried to learn....i went out on a
limb and predicted a swell one day with information that just
popped into my head...really no facts to back it up at all....it
did not happen....man did i get abused on this board for calling a
swell that did not even exist....iceman appeared....mpt
appeared...not to lambast me but to help me.......slowly over time
people have migrated to this site NOT ONLY for the wave forecast
(which are usually spot on) but to find like minded people who are
past the petty bs that SOME people like to throw around....we are
older for the most part...seen all the bs..hell.... DID ALL the bs
ourselves.....its all for nothing....taking positive energy and
wasting it on things and ideas and misconceptions that are GONE
tomorrow....dude say what you want...this is a free country and
you can....but you have to be able to learn just to let the shit
roll off your back and realize that some people dont want to hear
or see that nonsense here.....there might be some things that you
could learn (god forbid) from some of the silverbacks here but no
one will ever take you seriously or even pay any attention to you
if all they ever hear or see is negative input....i know this is
not what you want to hear..but.....surfing IS about soul ....its
not just a bunch of hype .....its you and the ocean....when you
can go out on a cold dark winter day alone and have just as much
peace and just as much stoke alone...with just YOU....no one to
see how "good" you are...you are
there....."good" is very relative....i'll never be as
"good" as some of the guys i surf with...i dont
care....that's not what it is about....for me anyway.....you
wanted a response
...not a sermon so... I'll go now....be
